NYSOWA President and Editor of the NSSF Range Report, Glenn Sapir explains how every year hundreds of hunters donate their wild game harvest to those in need. According to the NSSF, in 2010, approximately 11 million meals were provided to the less fortunate through hunter donations of venison meat. Hunters donated nearly 2.8 million pounds of game meat to shelters, food banks and soup kitchens.
