Now a writer and editor, he was honored for that passion, receiving the M. Paul Keesler New York Outdoor Citizen award at the New York State Outdoors Writers Association’s annual conference in Cortland.
“I was very honored and proud because I knew Paul,” Maloney said. “I have always tried to publicize the resources in the state. Being recognized by my peers meant a lot to me. I was pleasantly surprised.”
